Creativity, and with it inventive thinking, is considered the skill set for the
future years. It’s no longer knowledge and diligence. The need is obvious with new emerging needs and trends,
a seemingly saturated market, a recession challenged economy, the breakdown of a traditionally safe career
path, as well as economical and global challenges.
So, give your child(ren) an advantage and set him/her/them on the path for success! Getting involved with
working on inventions and innovations brings an array of benefits along. You’ll find a list of benefits under
concept in the menu bar. Four benefits I want
to highlight, though, because of their significance.
1. Teen inventors develop an inquiry based thinking style. They learn to ask lots of questions which will not
only lead to insights and solutions, but sets off a new curiosity for things in life and how they work.
2. Teen inventors are future oriented. They think ahead and envision what products and services, or
developmental stages of them, could be next. Being future oriented means to look optimistic and confident
into the years ahead.
3. Teen inventors learn perseverance. Getting involved with working on inventions and innovations is hard
work. Honestly. It’s a lot of fun, yes, but it’s a lot of work as well. And while it’s possible to hit the
ground with the first invention contest entry or presentation, most won’t. But they don’t give up either, or
shouldn’t!
4. Teen inventors are service and community oriented. It’s not ‘what’s in it for me’ that’s dominating the
thinking, but rather finding solutions for others to make life easier, safer, healthier, funnier, more
convenient and more beautifying. It’s a unique and needed community service.
To top it all, using creativity for this cause is also a means to honor our God, who is the Ultimate Creator.
Using the creativity He gave to each of us for the good of others is surely a service of it’s own kind.
Either way you’re coming from, we from the Young Bright Minds & Inventors Academy are here to assist you in
your creative adventures and thrilled about it!
